COFFEE ROASTING

Look, we could go on and on here about how we roast our coffee in small batches by hand or how we schedule our roast days to ensure the coffee we serve on our bar and stock our shelves with is always at peak freshness. We could bore you with details about how we ensure that our coffees are ethically sourced by working hand in hand with coffee importers here in Oakland, but who has time for all that? You sure don't.

Brass tacks. Does our coffee taste great? Yes. Are our efforts to ensure quality overkill? Maybe. Are the results undeniable? Absolutely. Can you have your cake and eat it too? If the cake in that metaphor is coffee, and eating the cake is an allegory for all of the social and economic concerns surrounding the metaphorical cake, then we definitely think so and invite you to try our metaphorical cake, which is actually coffee.
